As the owner of Akasha Yoga Room and a retired school teacher, Kayla is no stranger to the overwhelming stressors of day to day life. In fact, her yoga journey began in 2014 as a college student looking for a way to manage stress. Over the years, it became clear that a consistent yoga practice has innumerable benefits that reach beyond stress management and improve overall quality of life. Grateful for her own transformation, Kayla began sharing the practice with others in 2020 when she became a certified yoga instructor.
Now an RYT 500 with additional certifications in Yin, restorative, and prenatal yoga, Kayla opened Akasha Yoga Room as a way to follow her passion: to provide as many people as possible with the tools and practices that can help them overcome the stress and pressures of the modern world, and instead find fulfillment, contentment, peace, and most importantly, the courage to be exactly who they are.
