Q: I just bought a class pack, but Vagaro is trying to charge me for the drop-in rate!
A: Vagaro does not apply your class pack until the last step of checkout. It will show up in your cart at the drop-in rate until you move through all the stages of the checkout process. You will not be charged the drop-in rate (but if by some weird accident you are charged, send a text or email and you'll be refunded).

A: As long as you have clearance from your doctor or other medical professional, you are welcome and encouraged to take classes!
Q: Can I take classes if I'm pregnant?
A: Pregnant students are welcome to take non-heated classes after getting permission from their doctor /midwife / OBGYN. Please inform your instructor of your pregnancy prior to the start of class.

New Students
Q: I am not flexible / "out of shape" / have never done yoga / have not done yoga in forever. Am I ready to take classes?
A: Absolutely. You don't have to be flexible to practice yoga. It's encouraged for everyone, everywhere, in every type of body. Your fitness level / size / shape / flexibility does NOT determine your ability as a yogi!
Q: Do I need to bring a mat?
A: We have mats, blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters available for you to use.
Q: What happens if a pose hurts or is too intense?
A: Please come out of the pose and get your instructor's attention. We can show you how to modify each pose to suit your unique body.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Anything comfortable that allows you to move. Students may choose to wear leggings, sweatpants, sports bras, t-shirts, or any combination of those!

Memberships vs Packages
Q: What is the difference between a membership and a package?
A: Memberships are non-contract, auto-renewing payments. You can cancel your membership at any time (just send us an email two weeks before your renewal date) with no penalty. With a membership, you can take classes at the most discounted rate, and receive discounts on workshops and special events. Packages are non-renewing, one-time advance purchases of either 5 or 10 classes. Classes expire after one year.
Q: I have a membership, but I'm going out of town for a while. What should I do?
A: Send us an email as soon as you can, and we can pause your membership until you return.
Q: Can I get a refund on a drop in class / package / membership?
A: Sorry, there are no refunds on classes, packages, or memberships. If you're facing troubling circumstances, please send us an email.

The Practice of Yoga / Yoga Philosophy
Q: Is yoga a religion?
A: Absolutely NOT. Yoga is NOT a religion. While some of the pose names come from ancient Hindu mythology, including Hindu dieties, this is simply because the original practitioners of yoga were Hindu and therefore viewed the world through the lens of their own culture. Throughout the years, even devout Hindu yoga practitioners celebrate yoga as a way to connect to your own personal higher power, whether that is God, the Universe, your Higher Self, Allah, Brahma or any other figure that fits your faith. Practicing yoga is not the same as practicing Hinduism, as yoga is a completely separate way of interacting with the world and is not tied to one religion.
Q: Where can I learn more about yoga philosophy and the history of yoga?
A: There are so many amazing books that can help you study the origins and/or deeper spiritual aspects of yoga. Here are just a few we recommend:
